I mistook your initial sentence for a slight against the beloved Jennifer. It was (pun coming) swiftly redacted because my reading comprehension caught up.

Gonna get hate for this, but Taylor Swift may be dressed up like a respectable adult, but every time I hear her name I think "bratty 14 year old deep down, but with enough money to look like she has class" still.

I would not disagree. Her appeal is that she sings like a forlorn teenager...I think she is going to have to transition to being a mature adult to keep her fanbase though (as they too get older). My biggest appreciation for her is her storytelling ability - she paints an excellent picture in song and while she pretty much sings about the same thing all the time (relationships) it doesn't diminish her skill (even Sir Paul said that he basically has been writing love songs for over 50 years and no one seem to have an issue with that).
Her personal life (which, as a celeb is also her public life) is a running gag, but I think she is deep down a good kid. She reminds me of a lot of friends of mine, so it is easy for me to overlook the things that others find to be a reason to dismiss her.
As with all things, 'your experience may vary' certainly applies here.
